How can this be good for my writing? Well, it isn’t.

Focused on the side hustle. Unfocused on the book. That’s been the story of the past couple of weeks.
To be fair though, this side hustle has been in the works for a few months. And it’s a seasonal business with a short season that peaks this month.
Oh, what is it, you say?
A premium pumpkin delivery and display service for our local community here in Southern California.
That’s right, taking a cue from the lady in Dallas who started this trend a few years back.
Anyway…
As frustrating as it is to feel myself getting pulled away from the book, we’re having fun with this little project. And who knows – we might be able to lay the foundation for something that turns into something bigger next year.
I just have to accept the fact that I’m not as focused on this book as I should be right now. And at the same time, I need to keep working towards regaining that focus.
Let’s see what I can do to improve next week.
