Honestly, I’ve been doing the bare minimum on the work front this last week, including with this book.
Getting my mom settled into her nursing home and figuring out how to best care for my dad too has taken almost all the oxygen.
But because I have this newsletter, I won’t allow myself to not get at least a few words down.

I guess I’m just tinkering at this point.
No real writing sessions. No sense of being locked in.
It’s not that I’m not committed to the book – I’m just mentally not quite there. And I’m giving myself some grace.
Outside of the unimpressive 119 words, I did manage to squeeze in some good coaching calls last week, and my main takeaway was this:
Most marketers struggle less with the work itself and more with managing themselves through it.
That’s what nobody seems to want to say out loud.
But it shows up over and over again.
